Accessibility Comments

Even though PCalc is accessible with VoiceOver, here's a few things to watch out for:

  • VO will not read out results automatically. You can get around this by setting it to announce them using any of the system wide voices you have installed. The silent switch must be off for this to work.
  • With that said, results of conversion's, functions and registers are read out by VO when you focus over them in their respective lists.
  • Swiping right from the last item in a screen such as settings will cause VO to read the main window controls, which aren't visible and won't work until you leave it.
  • The layout editor needs a lot of work.
  • As far as I can tell, there is no way to use the swipe to undo/redo gestures across the calculator's display.

VoiceOver Performance

VoiceOver reads all page elements.

Button Labeling

All buttons are clearly labeled.

Usability

The app is fully accessible with VoiceOver, but the interface could be easier to navigate and use.

Other Comments

I was looking for an iOS calculator that's similar to the one in Windows 10 with conversions and the like, and this seems to be the best one I've found.
