Description of App

FullControl is a fun, and easy-to-use app that turns your iPhone or iPod touch into a remote control. So you can control your computer with a tap or flick of a finger.

Remain comfortably seated in your couch and control your Mac with a few taps!
It isn't the usual application with four buttons and the remote mouse: FullControl can control ALL your applications, because each of you can simply create your own commands for each application and share them with others.
If you don't know which commands to create, don't worry, probably someone has already made and shared them before you, so you can find them and add them directly in the application!

Want to start a video? Do not look for it with the mouse, FullControl allows you to access the contents of folders on your Mac and launch files with the program of your choice!

You will see that the mouse and keyboard don't need anymore, but if you need it, there are also those, plus the number keypad and the ability to shutdown, restart the computer or put it to sleep.

How can I control all the applications?!
Simple: with FullControl you can create a specific keyboard shortcut and send it to a running program in order to control it!
This is the difference from the others remote applications.

FullControl just installed, you have already provided the commands to control your music on iTunes, the videos play on VLC, manage live TV on EyeTV!

FullControl to work properly requires FullControlHelper (2.4 or higher) installed on your Mac - Intel (OS X 10.5 or higher) and firmware 3.1.3 (or higher) installed on your iPhone or iPod Touch.

Accessibility Comments

This app has many issues: on the window to add new commands, there are 4 adjustable menus with no labels. These menus are needed to choose keys. Modifiers -control, option, command- or single letters. q, r, and so on. so, you have to flick right, select randomly the keys in all 4 adjustable menus, or 2, or 3, what needed. then flick left till you hear the key combination you have selected, and then flick right if it is not the desired and adjust menus. This can be done, but it's quite uncomfortable. The developer is aware of the problem and I suppose he will fix it, don't know when! Another problem is that full control includes a trackpad feature, but as it's not full screen, it may not properly work with voiceover... i did not manage to make it work. the dev is aware of this too! Other issue: for now, VO commands (control and option pressed together) do not work with full control, but i think this will be fixed soon. The major trouble is that, graphically the buttons in main window are visible but voiceover does not read them so it's impossible to shut down, restart, stop, close windows and so on. it's just possible to add commands but for now it makes no sense... I had to edit the review now, as the developer confirmed me he will study accessibility guide and work on it, but he does not have the date when it will be fixed.

Some parts of the app are accessible with VoiceOver, but not enough to make it usable.

Other Comments

the exciting feature of this app, is the possibility to create and share commands I must check if VO commands can be created, I'll try and give further feedback. ***at the moment, the app cannot be used by voiceover users. The developer is aware and will fix during next year. He did not tell me when because he does not know it yet.
