About Damron
Over 40 years ago, a traveling salesman named Bob Damron typed up list of gay friendly bars and motels for his friends. Since then, Damron has been the first name – and the last word – in LGBT travel. Damron has adapted to decades of changing technology, from mimeographed lists to carry-on books, from websites of listings to searchable databases, and now the smartphone!

Accessibility Comments

This app isn't totally there yet as the names of the businesses are not labeled at all. There is the click of a swipe or touch on a name, but VoiceOver doesn't read them. You have to double tap a mystery entry to determine exactly what it is, and even then, the heading does not speak. You have to glen it from the name of the website or other information under the heading. If you're willing to play with it though, it can give you some useful information.

VoiceOver Performance

VoiceOver reads most page elements.

Button Labeling

Few buttons are clearly labeled.

Usability

There are some accessibility issues with this app, but it can still be used if you are willing to tolerate these issues and learn how to work around them.

Other Comments

Some users have reported missing data and unusual results after upgrading to v2.43. If you experience this problem, delete Gay Scout and then download it again.
