Unless there's something I'm missing, when opening up the app it's speaking in a different language other than English. Second, when I hit the what I think is the sign in button and try to sign in, it just throws me right back to the screen where I was before with gibberish! clearly this hasn't been tested. So no, I'm not calling this accessible! Because if ya can't even get sign in to work and you can't even localize your app correctly, I'm gunna give this a hard pass! Yet, again! Everything on my phone is set to English and this app is not detecting as such? Yeah this needs work before I can give a proper review!

First, this is an app issue, not an accessibility issue. Sighted people have this come up too. I really wish we could separate "I'm having an issue" from accessibility and maybe get past "because I'm having an issue, everything sucks, burn it all down to the ground".

Second, the login button says Amazon, so if it's coming up in German, (i.e. what you call "gibberish"), you should be able to hit that, login as usual, and see the conversations in English. You might have to go into the menu and set your language to English to get the buttons and such to read in English.

Third and finally, this is pretty new and the dev seems to be pretty responsive to feedback, from what I'm hearing. So maybe a respectful bug report would, I dunno, actually be helpful in getting the issue straightened out.

In any case, the fact that the app isn't respecting your language setting has nothing whatsoever to do with how accessible it is. It's absolutely a bug and needs to be fixed. But it has nothing whatsoever to do with how it works with a screen reader.

This is a great example of the kind of negativity some of us complain about. It's not about reporting bugs/issues, it's about how everything is so over the top, and because this bug exists, all of whatever we're talking about is unusable garbage for some people. Yes, this is an issue. It needs to be resolved. But it has nothing to do with accessibility whatsoever.
