Accessibility Comments

Appears to be very accessible to use with VoiceOver. A bug step from what it used to be which wasn't very pleasant to use but now it has improved quite a bit.

Unfortunately, the Google+ app is not available on the Ipod Touch. I really don't understand why though. Hopefully Google will remedy this problem soon.

Thank so much for testing that out. I totally agree with you. It make no sense why the iTouch or the iPad can't use this application. Just make any sense at all. Kind of like saying that the Facebook will only work on the iPhone. Google says you can use the Webapps that they have for Google Plus for those that can't use the iPhone App version. However, I found the Webapp was just as bad as the regular website. Worthless. Only this app made it more accessable.

Actually the GooglePlus App does run on iPod Touches! I am running it here on an iPod Touch 4th generation!

The app is actually partially accessible. Reading streams is easy and comfortable as well as searching for friends and reading their profiles. It is completelly inpossible to read comments. Choosing circles is rather difficult because their names are not VoiceOver accessible.

Well, so much for having this accessible. The app has severly degressed enough that it is very hard to use if not unusable. Very disappointing. So I have made those changes mentioned above in my posting. :(

Google has release a major release of Google+. The news is that it is even worse than before. It has now officially become completely inaccessible. What a major disappointment from a major company of this size. Offer a competely worthless app for the vision impaired community. I personally like this Social Network but they are continually making it worse in every update.

It's not like Google has a very good track record with accessibility. It is pretty pathetic how late to the game google is when you consider all of their resources and who they are. I do give google credit for chromevox for google chrome, but it needs to come a long way before it is really usable. None of Google's apps are really accessible, so I am not surprised that Google Plus is no different. In my opinion the worst companies as far as accessibility are ESPN, Facebook, and Google. Pretty sad statement for those companies

In going over the latest google plus I've found a lot of unlabeled buttons on the main home screen after you click menu. I cant remember what all they do but hunting an dpecking especially for this app is not my thing. I dunno why they changed it, but I wish they could at least label the buttons such as settings, account, etc.

When you have VoiceOver turned on for your iOS device, you can:

Open the "full post" view by double-tapping with one finger on a post.
Open a menu with actions you can take on a post by double-tapping on the post with two fingers.
Open a menu with actions you can take on a comment by double-tapping with one finger.
Open links or +mentions in a comment by double-tapping with two fingers.
Join or leave a Community by double-tapping the Community's name with two fingers.
Follow or unfollow a Collection by double-tapping the Collection's name with two fingers.
