Buffer: Plan & Schedule Posts

Description of App

Share to Twitter, Facebook, Google+, Pinterest and LinkedIn – all from one place, on your schedule.

Any link, text, picture or video you want to share, just add it to your Buffer. Your updates will automatically be scheduled and spaced out throughout the day to post to your favorite social networks. Plus, you can custom schedule or "post now" right inside the app.

Say you find 5 great articles and 2 funny photos you want to share. If you post them all in a row, you might flood your friends and followers who are online – and totally miss those who aren't. Instead, add these posts to your Buffer, and you'll have great social updates for the next few days.

Why you’ll love Buffer:

Accessibility Comments

I have been a proud beta tester of this app for quite some time, and part of me feels kind of bad that I've yet to reach out to their developer to make any comment or suggestion. Why? Because, I have *not* had to. Granted, he was awesome enough when I signed on to test, listing insuring accessibility with voiceover as my reason, to email me to let me know that he and buffer were committed to making sure their app was fully accessible. They, very much get it, and mean it. while the buffer web site is very much usable as well, I think I personally love the mobile app more because it's so incredibly easy to use. All buttons are labeled; everything performs and acts as promised.

VoiceOver Performance

VoiceOver reads all page elements.

Button Labeling

All buttons are clearly labeled.

Usability

The app is fully accessible with VoiceOver and is easy to navigate and use.

Other Comments

If you are a person who heavily shares articles like I do on social media, then I recommend checking out this app and the buffer service in general. It's awesome, because you don't have to keep track or remember to share that really neat story you read the other day. You can share from within the app, or use one of the browser extentions. I personally like it because I'm not one who likes to flood my followers with tons of articles at once. In most cases, I try to share things that might not have been tweeted and retweeted by the masses, so I like to do what I can to make sure that people will actually want to read it; and if they either aren't being unnecessarily flooded already with link after link, or retweet after retweet of the same story, my experience anyway, is that they will. Buffer allows me to select what time and on what day I want to post. Once I set that up, all I have to do is add what I want to share into my Buffer queue, and it hangs out until the times I've selected. If you're full on nerdy and geeky like me and think that it's cool to see stats like how many people a particular post has reached; how many clicks something had, or how many retweets, you can totally do this and embrace your inner stats nerd. The paid plans give you more analytics and stats to geek over, but you can see limited information with the free plan as well.

I have worked with the team from buffer, and helped them lable their app on Ios, and even on the windows platform. They have done their best, to make sure that no matter what screen reader you use, it works. I whole heartedly recommend this app, if you need to use the socials to post.

Thanks so much for the kind comments about Buffer's iOS app. Just signed up after releasing a personal app called DayNight but spotted this entry for Buffer.

Please feel free to reach out to me personally if you spot any issues within the iOS app, we're usually able to quickly resolve VoiceOver or accessibility issues that sometimes unfortunately creep in with updates.
