Accessibility Comments

This app is displayed in landscape mode only, which is probably because of the amount of visual content. The interface isn't the easiest to use, however if you persevere with it, you'll find it very rewarding if you have any interest in British birds. a lot more care could have been taken when labelling buttons, but it's usually fairly easy to work out what they are. A couple have no labels at all, such as the one to close the details screen. The large button on the right hand portion of the details screen is actually a photo of the bird you're looking at. When double tapped, it is displayed full screen with a close button at the top right.

VoiceOver Performance

VoiceOver reads most page elements.

Button Labeling

Few buttons are clearly labeled.

Usability

There are some accessibility issues with this app, but it can still be used if you are willing to tolerate these issues and learn how to work around them.

Other Comments

there is a plethora of similar apps that do marginally the same thing, however despite it's quirks, I think this is the best. from what I can tell based on App store reviews by people who are more knowledgeable about this subject than I am, this app seems to be the most accurate. I have not tried the other apps mentioned in the description, but my guess is that the interface is the same. they will just have different databases.
