Sonarpad Mobile arrives on the App Store: documents, news, podcasts, radio, routes, weather and accessible tools in one app. Sonarpad Mobile is an app designed to read, listen with text-to-speech, search and organise content in a simple and accessible way. With Sonarpad, you can manage documents, follow news and podcasts, search for radio stations, check routes, weather, calendar information and other useful everyday tools. Main features: • Documents: import and read text files, documents, books and content organised in folders. • Imports: import personal documents and search for text content from supported public sources. • Exports: export documents to DOCX, EPUB and PDF. • Voice reading: use text-to-speech with the settings chosen by the user. • News: follow RSS sources, import and export OPML files and organise sources into folders. • Podcasts: search, listen to and manage podcasts. • Radio: search for stations by language, country, city and genre and listen to live broadcasts. • Routes: search for directions, store routes in Documents and listen to instructions with text-to-speech. • Weather and recent cities: check the weather and quickly switch between cities. • Calendar: check days, holidays, quotes and reminders. • App theme: choose between automatic, light or dark mode. Sonarpad was created with special attention to accessibility, VoiceOver support and simple screens. Some features require an Internet connection and may depend on the availability of the external services used.

It’s easily become one of my favorite apps. I can completely forget about my other radio and podcast apps now. Plus, the text-to-speech quality for reading RSS feeds is great.

really impressive, accessible, versatile app. One showstopper for me is the ability to navigate structured documents by heading. e.g. if i import a tagged epub, in the doc reader, one should be able to nav by heading! also adjust speech rate on the fly...

Added the new “Create AI audio description” feature: it lets you choose a video, automatically detect dialogue and pauses, generate descriptions with Gemini or the Sonarpad service, synthesize them with Edge or system voices, and create the final audio-described video. Character and on-screen text recognition, character catalogs, detail levels, resume support, and project saving are also available.,
Fixed some issues in News that could show page elements or unrelated content instead of the article text.,
Improved article opening in News: when text extraction fails, the article page is now shown correctly instead of stopping at only the title or a short preview.
Added an Autoplay option to the SonarTube player settings: when enabled, SonarTube automatically moves to the next video or track when playback ends, if one is available.,
SonarTube can now open a channel’s public playlists directly from the channel page, with support for loading more results.,

Added a “View description” action in SonarTube to read the full video description. Description can also be added to the player buttons from the SonarTube Buttons and behavior settings.,
Documents can now be protected with a password from the secondary actions. The correct password is required before either opening or sharing a protected document.
Added “Send report” in Settings: you can describe a problem, optionally enter your name, and send the report to the developer. Sonarpad’s technical log is attached automatically.
Added home screen customization: from Settings you can choose whether to use categories, show or hide each available feature and, when categories are off, reorder items with Move up, Move down and Move to position. Settings and Info always remain visible but can be moved. When categories are enabled, Reorder items also lets you change the order of buttons within Reading, Media and Utilities, without moving them from one category to another.,
A “Restore defaults” button has been added to home screen customization. It re-enables categories, shows all available features, and restores the original item orders.
Added complete Romanian localization: the interface, changelog, calendar and quotes, SonarTube, News, podcasts, radio, routes, weather, Wikipedia, Gutenberg, AI audio description, and the other multilingual services now support Romanian.
Improved navigation in internal screens: with VoiceOver, the Back button now offers the secondary “Go to Home” action to return directly to the main screen; sighted users also have a visible Home button next to Back.
Added the new “Join media files” feature: it lets you combine multiple audio or video files in sequence, reorder or remove them before joining, choose the output format from the most common audio and video formats, and follow processing with a progress bar. The operation can be safely cancelled after a confirmation prompt.
Added the “Select documents” mode in Documents: it lets you select one or more documents, select all of them, and apply multiple actions such as deleting and sharing. Selection can be started from VoiceOver secondary actions by swiping down on the document without opening it.
Added playback speed control to the shared player for Sonartube, podcasts, audiobooks and other media files. Enable it in Settings with “Enable media playback speed control” to choose from 0.5× to 2× with VoiceOver support and a separate preference per category.
