Accessibility Comments

Judging by the copious implementation of rotor actions, VoiceOver support was not an afterthought when making this app. Some parts may seem a little complicated to navigate at first but once you understand how they work navigation is really painless.

VoiceOver Performance

VoiceOver reads all page elements.

Button Labeling

All buttons are clearly labeled.

Usability

The app is fully accessible with VoiceOver and is easy to navigate and use.

Other Comments

For the most part, you'll just be navigating down a list of articles, and you can just flick right through them. However, every time you see a topic that has "full coverage", which will be indicated by VoiceOver announcing a page number (I've only seen 7 page coverages so far), flicking to the right will just move you to the view full coverage button. If you actually want to see what the other pages contain without going into that screen, you can simply scroll the screen left or right (with 3-finger flick gestures just like on the home screen) while you're focused on a page and you'll be able to read everything.
One more thing to be aware of is that if you read far enough into a long article, the top of the screen that has the back and options buttons will disappear, and doing a 4-finger tap at the top won't take you to the back button. To get it to appear again, double-tap anything on the status bar, which is a standard iOS command to scroll the screen to the top. THen you can back out of an article normally.

This app is absolutely scary. I use Google Chrome as my default browser and google search for searching, so they have a pretty good idea what I like to read. So, after installing the app and literarly not doing any kind of set up, I was already receiving articles about Technology, gaming, the TV shows I watch, reviews for the new Star Wars movie which I was looking up details on, and the sports teams I'm following. There was, however, 1 or 2 sites that I can't seem to be able to view in this app I like to read. There's also not any preview of what an article contains, like you get in most RSS readers like lire. But if you don't want to take the time to manually track down RSS feeds you want to follow, this app is great.
