Description of App

you spend hours scrolling feeds all day. shouldn't YOU be in control of what you see, rather than some algorithm?

with feeeed, you can build your own news feed, on your own terms:

  • subscribe to any website, using RSS, Twitter or just seeing a copy of their website in your feed
  • see local weather, or flashbacks from your photo library
  • subscribe to communities from reddit, tiktok profiles, or newsletters from your gmail
  • add your own custom reminders, or flashcards
  • see your step count for the day, and your progress towards 10k steps. (powered by an optional integration with the Health)

it's 100% private and on-device (no servers, no accounts, nothing leaves your device). don't worry — it's still as fast, smooth and addicting as your favorite Mark Zuckerberg app. it includes a built-in reader mode and reading list. it's fast!

take back your news feed ~ scroll on your own terms :)

Accessibility Comments

I've encountered no issues with this app. It's been easy to figure out and use and has useful implementation of VoiceOver actions.

VoiceOver Performance

VoiceOver reads all page elements.

Button Labeling

Most buttons are clearly labeled.

Usability

There are some minor accessibility issues with this app, but they are easy to deal with.

Other Comments

An interesting concept for people who like the idea of having a selection of content from a wide variety of sources presented in a single timeline.

I tried this one but I can't agree with the post author. I can only access the bottom bar with three options (Home, Subscribe, All). Whe I hit Subscribe I could find the edit field but I couldn't find any feeds. I tried with searching site URLs, I tried copying and pasting RSS URLs, I couldn't get any further. No Add or Subscribe buttons appeared. I see there is something on the screen between search and bottom bar but Voice Over doesn't read it. From my point of view, and I'm an experienced user, this app is useless for our community and people should be more careful what they are posting here. Accessibility, Usability, Button Labeling and other comments don't make sense at all.

Hi Octocorn, with in the Subscribe tap. Go to the top and do a search. Leave out of the URL’s. For example, search for “AppleVis” and use the search button at the bottom right. Now Swipe to the option you want to search at or on. The Search News Feed RSS for example and double tap on that. Unless you want to search on the YouTube, Sub stack, and etc. then keep swiping to the right for those options. At this time, it appears to be working as it should for me but I don’t think you can just simply enter an URL or the feed link in the search unlike other feed apps that I’ve seen. I will notch the accessibility down because there are a handful of unlabeled buttons in the Settings area. HTH.
