iTunes Match tip:If you want to play a song stored in iCloud, please make sure you download it first by clicking the iCloud download button placed next to the track in the Music app. You can also download entire playlists. DRM Protected songs tipSplyce supports nearly all audio files: MP3, M4A, AAC, WAV, AIF, etc. including all songs available on the iTunes Store. But if you have purchased from the iTunes Store before 2009, you may notice that those songs are protected with DRM technology and cannot be played with Splyce. If you have any of these old files, you can upgrade them to DRM free (iTunes Plus) via iTunes. TIPS:
  • When selecting songs, you can select all tracks by dragging down the screen to access the “I want it all” button
  • Click on the Splyce button on the main screen to access all features
  • While playing your music, if you want to delete one track of your playlist just swipe left. If you swipe right you will auto-order that track.
  • Shake to shuffle your playlist (enable the shake function previously on settings)

Accessibility Comments

When you start the app, the buttons are somewhat mislabeled, but it is easy enough to figure out what they represent. The mix mode isn't able to be figured out by someone who is using VoiceOver. Also, when in the main screen after you have imported your music, you have to hit the button labeled color in order to get at the mix mode, duration, and the timing of the songs.

VoiceOver Performance

VoiceOver reads most page elements.

Button Labeling

Most buttons are clearly labeled.

Usability

There are some minor accessibility issues with this app, but they are easy to deal with.

Other Comments

This app is great for its price, and the idea of mixing your playlist based on bpm is awesome! I figured I would try it out to see if it does work as advertised, and it will do mixes. Unfortunately, I cannot try the three mix modes. From my understanding, you can mix from slowest to fastest, random, or fastest to slowest. I may be wrong so if I am, don't shoot the messenger! When you go into settings, you have no way of telling if the option you choose is on or off. Give this app a shot! You really have nothing to loose!
