Accessibility Comments

There is a large number of unlabelled buttons on the now playing screen, which I'm guessing are used to control the visualisation effects as they do nothing when pressed. The Repeat button is labeled as "Loop", while the buttons to rate a song in your library start out as dashes and change into stars when you press them. The most important controls to rewind, play/pause and fast forward are labelled correctly. The only button that's unlabelled but can be useful is the very first one you see when flicking, and it opens the complete list of files that are currently loaded into the playlist. The controls in other sections of the app, like the local and on-line file browsers, the search feature, and the settings, are all labeled and work beautifully.

VoiceOver Performance

VoiceOver reads all page elements.

Button Labeling

Most buttons are clearly labeled.

Usability

There are some minor accessibility issues with this app, but they are easy to deal with.

Other Comments

This app is really good at handling a lot of formats correctly. More specifically I tested it with various .nsf files from the Famicompo competition, which most players on the Mac like VLC don't play correctly because they don't support all of the expansion chips. Modizer had no problems with this. Having access to modland and HVSC is also very useful as they are the largest collections of chip tunes On-line, so getting more files into the app is very easy.

Modizer's source is available on Github so perhaps someone who knows more than me about working with xCode could look into fixing the button labels.
