Description of App

Broadcasts 3 introduces a beautiful new Mini Player, revamped Search experience, and a new Artwork Chooser to help style your library. Now available on Apple Vision Pro.

Listen to streaming internet radio in an ultra-simple, single-purpose app.

Broadcasts makes building a library of stations from around the world easier than ever — no subscription required. Use completely free with a limited-size library of stations, or upgrade to the full version to unlock the library limit and add as many of your own stations as you like from the Station Browser, or manually via URL. Search for stations from around the world as easily as from your own library. Use the Mini Player to showcase gorgeous station and track artwork (for supported stations).

Sync your library across iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and Apple TV with iCloud & Universal Purchase. Enjoy your library on the road using CarPlay and your iPhone.

Browse stations in grid or list view. Listen in Light or Dark mode. Edit stations to provide your own artwork, or use the Artwork Chooser to generate something fun and colorful. Use Handoff to transfer playback between devices, or AirPlay directly to a home speaker.

Supports Shortcuts & AppleScript for playback automation.

Accessibility Comments

This app is fully accessible.

The main screen of the app consists of a list of radio stations. Double tap on any of these and it begins playing. There's no separate playback window, only a play/stop button on the bottom of the main screen. Essentially, this is a single screen app.

I haven't upgraded to the paid version, but I doubt that the extra functionality - the ability to add stations and collections - would have any accessibility issues, as the app is so simple. It's also from a developer who you would expect to know about these things.

VoiceOver Performance

VoiceOver reads all page elements.

Button Labeling

All buttons are clearly labeled.

Usability

The app is fully accessible with VoiceOver and is easy to navigate and use.

Other Comments

This is an extremely basic app.

It works well, but I wouldn't personally buy the unlock without knowing for sure that the stations I am interested in are actually available.

It's also not an app for those who want to know more about stations - schedules, shows, what's playing now, etc.
