Ah cool. I had no idea this app was on here. I have been using and loving this app now since I believe early june of 2013. This app just rocks and is a good cooking timer. The voice is pretty good to.

As for a cooking times as mentioned in another comment, all you have to do is to tell Siri to set a timer for the desired length, and the timer starts. As for a Voice-Over friendly clock, it is already built into the iPhone. What will this app do that the built-in clock app, in conjunction with Siri, won't do? Thanks.

Siri does well with timers, alarms, and other clock stuff. So my question along with others is what does this app do that Siri will not? Thanks.

Wait a second here, some people don't like using Siri or the built-in clock app, not everybody is going to really like the built-in clock. And I hate navigating to the status bar and having to check the time this would be perfect. And Siri, by the way, is not comfortable for some people. Some people just prefer to stick without Siri because sometimes they just don't like it, although most people do, that doesn't mean you use Siri for every single thing, I mean I sufpose you could but that's you.
AnonyMouse also said on one of my iOS App Directory entries that not everyone has the luxury to have Siri. So the answer is to why would you need this app, is because some people would be more comfortable with it, although you may not be.
