Description of App

WordBopper is a fast, bouncy, and accessible word game where every letter is waiting to be bopped. Tap letters, build words, score points, and chase that delightful “just one more round” feeling. Make connected words for bonus points, build a streak, and unlock a 3x scoring boost before the clock runs out. It's quick to play, easy to learn, and will have you bopping and making so many words that you may just miss your stop on the train. The Daily Bop will keep bringing you back to find tougher words each day, and will let you ascend through the WordBopper ranks as you level up. If you'd rather bop words without the pressure of the timer, turn on Non-Stop Mode. Bop to the Top for as long as you want! Try Bopple mode, building words with adjacent letters that never change in the grid. Play solo or with friends, seeing who can Bopple the best! Bop words in English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Dutch, and Brazilian Portuguese! This game was built with Accessibility-first design by Blind developers, and is fully accessible to VoiceOver users. Dynamic Type is fully supported, and contains multiple color themes and letter styles for personalization and readability. The Grid Size is adjustable to make the game easier or more challenging, plus Landscape orientation is fully supported for all devices. And for left-handed players out there, toggle Left-Handed Mode to swap the controls over for much easier playability. Created by Chancey Fleet and Marco Salsiccia

I just tried the game, and I think it’s a keeper. I wish, however, that you could swipe up and down in a grid as well as left and right. I would suggest starting with the untimed mode to get a feel for how the game works. Then you can get more adventurous if you want to.

For anyone who doesn't know, it is very possible to swipe up and down as well as left and right in the grid. It's under rotor settings.

So I turn on vertical navigation and if I stay in the same column, it lets me swipe up and down, but as soon as I switch to a different column, it switches back to action so when I switch up and down, it says explore image or activate. Does anyone have any clue on how to stop this from happening?

Do the following:
Go to Settings, Accessibility, VoiceOver, Rotor. Disable Change Rotor with Item.
Ideally, this makes it so that whatever you set your rotor to, it is supposed to stay there until you.. manually.. change it to something else. It takes a little getting used to, but in my humble opinion it makes using the rotor a lot better. Having it always jump to the Actions rotor item is frustrating.

HTH.

Thank you, that worked. Another thing I’ve noticed that is if I’m in the middle of a game and I leave the game for a while it doesn’t save my started game. There’s no resume game button. Kind of a bummer sometimes.

Yeah, I'm not sure what's going on there. Might be something worth contacting the developer about. 🤷

So, you have to go in the game option screen before you leave the game to save your progress. If you don’t go into the game option screen before you leave the game, you lose all your progress and have to start all over.

This game doesn't have an auto-save feature? Kinda disappointed if that's the case. 🙁

I also love this game, particularly the daily bop.

I think this is a really awesome game! I think there should be an auto-save feature, that way we get to choose if we save the game manually or if we don't do that it will save on its own anyway. I also think there should be different levels and item unlocks too.
