Where do I start? To me, this is just what a great phone game should be. The controls are easy, just finger swipes. But the game can be as challenging as you want to make it. I'm notoriously bad at racing, and even the very easy difficulty I'm finding a real challenge. The sound is great, I'm really glad we can turn off the music, in fact the whole wealth of options we're given I was very impressed with. I felt this developer has worked very hard on accessibility for everyone. I can see I'm going to get a lot of play out of this game, I just hope I get better at avoiding curves in the track and don't get hit by quite so many asteroids!

Hey. I have enjoyed every bit of it. you should try this game. two dolar are not to much to spend.

best game i've ever played.
I have a question though.
I've unlocked new spaceships. If i press on new game will I lose my progress? I hope not. I want to try these new ships but still keep my progress
Also, I want to see game center as an option for posting scores. Posting your score to twitter is nice, but don't want to spam my feed too much with it
Enjoy your day

My Birthday is coming up tomorrow, so I decided to get this game as a present for myself yesterday. I've never really played any audio racing games, but this one definitely suits my needs. I love anything to do with scifi, so it was perfect. It's literally out of this world.

Everything you unlock can be kept. The only two ways to lose them is to reset your progress at the options screen or to delete the app itself.

so glad you enjoy the game
I tried endless mode last night. I love how theres no curve announcements so you have to rely on the sounds to know when to turn.

So does the game have a limited number of races or is it endless and just gets harder and harder?

There's single race mode, championship and endless mode. Championship has 30 tracks in total, while in endless mode, the game ends after three crashes. You have 5 difficulty settings, from really easy to really hard. There are three playable ships and two unlockable ships.

How long is the championship race? I was recording a pod cast for this app and I'm at the one where there are 2 meteors at a time and a lot of enemies.

There are 30 tracks in championship mode.

Roar. Ok, couldn't the thing have told me this? I don't remember commander what's his face saying that when I started the game, unless I missed it.

First, I'd like to start off by saying that I have thoroughly enjoyed what I've played so far. This is a very fun game, but there is some improvement to be made, especially for the asking price. This is my first accessible mobile game I've played. I started on medium difficulty, but I moved up to hard fairly quickly.

I'll start with the biggest issue I'm having, and that's figuring out where asteroids are. When there's only one in the way, I listen for the slight change in sound when it's in my lane, but when there are two, it's next to impossible to figure out which direction I should move until it's too late. I tried lowering the difficulty, but by the time the asteroids are close enough for me to tell which lane they're in, my ship's blown up.

When I first played the game, I didn't get any indication that I needed headphones. It became obvious rather quickly once I realized I could hardly hear some sounds and couldn't position them at all. I popped in Airpods pro, and that helped a lot. I think the game should tell you this on first startup. On the subject of volume, the mixing could use some improvement. lowering the volume of the music helps make other sounds more audible, but the ship noise can sometimes make other sounds hard to make out.

The TTS voice, although not irritating, is extremely slow. Some of us can crank Voiceover up to full speed, so having an option for the in-game voice rate would be much appreciated. The most annoying slowdown is during the readout of your race time. It is painfully, comically, terribly slow. It also has habit of playing over the "victory" voice clip.

The settings would also benefit from clarification on what they do. I ended up disabling the in-game voice completely because I didn't know what the Voiceover setting did. I'm also unclear as to what specific changes the various difficulty levels make. Also, I would love love love to completely disable TTS announcements during races. Previous issues aside, I can hear when ships, asteroids, and turns are coming. It helps at first, but it can feel patronizing the more you play. Lastly, turns took me by surprise. I was expecting them, however I wasn't expecting turns wide enough to require multiple swipes.

To summarize, the sound design for blind players is good, but there are a few flaws which limit the fun that can be had. The TTS voice also needs more customizability. I'd also like to reiterate that this is a good game. I don't regret buying it, though I think 3 bucks is a bit steep considering the issues I've brought up. However, I like it, and I intend on continuing to play it.

No real comments on a lot of these, other than to say that playing Audio games like this ones with Bluetooth headphones can be a bit tricky due to latency. In other words, the slight bluetooth delay might mean you're at a bit of a disadvantage.

I went from easy to what ever as well. I do agree the voice is painfully slow in your race time as for the mediors you can slow down a bit and that will help you.

I downloaded space wave race a few days ago and I’ve played it quite a bit and it is a very great game as far as accessibility goes
