Is this an actual space invaders clone, or just another game where you shoot one ship at a time? The thing about space invaders is strategy, not just blowing ships up.

This is a fun game. I wish we could choose from the more 8-bit sounding audio and the more 2015 Space-sounding audio. Being able to change that at will would be cool. Also, as you earn points toards your grade, if you could buy stuff, such as n} weapons or abilities for you ships, would be cool. If you could have some sort of explosive or missile or area-of-affect item that you could use. Also, I feel if we could change the exitting gesture to three finger flick up rather than tapping five fingers, because I find that a little bothersome. Great game, though.

Hi Mitchell,
These are great ideas. If you want, you can email the developer at
micco67@gmail.com
He's the producer of the game. You can email him With some of these ideas, and see if you get any feedback. I emailed him with some questions, and he answered back.

I think the game concept isn't the type of game I'm looking for. I can't figure out the game idea and how the game is played. Unfortunately, I don't see any instructions in the main menu that explains how the game is played. Also, I can't go back to the game menu whenever I tap on the screen with 5 fingers. Has anyone experienced this?
Please feel free to share with me your feedback.

The instructions are shown after you enter a battle. It should say something like, "Touch the screen with two fingers to shoot." And yes, if you die, you can't get out of the music and you have to close the app. Hopefully it helps.

By Khalfan Bin Dhaher on Friday, January 22, 2016 - 09:58

Sure. I'm not sure if this is a bug, whenever I pause the game by tapping with 5 fingers I can't unpause the game or go back to the menu. Is the game worth the price or not? What do you think?

By Mitchell on Friday, January 22, 2016 - 09:58

I think it's worth the price. But if you don't think it's worth the price, wa`1t till it goes down in price when they have a sale. Also, if you want to unpause the game, you have to tap with one finger afternd only after the narrator finishes his little monologue. Hope this helps.

Hi! I bought and downloaded Space Encounter several days ago, and finally got around to playing it last night, trying out one of the campaigns. I'm hardly an expert yet, in fact my ship blew up, but I do enjoy the game. Pity it was impossible to get back to the main menu after the explosion of my ship, though: I assume I did the five-finger tap right, as the voice said "Loading" whenever I did that gesture, but apart from that I just continued to get music and nothing else except the voice saying "Loading" whenever I did the five-finger tap again. Here's hoping that this bug can be squashed in a future version of this game! As it was late when I did my first test run of the game yesterday, I didn't try another battle, but I know I would have had to restart the app if I'd wanted to do so last night. In the meantime, I enjoy the game, and I'm definitely glad I bought it, despite not being very good at it and despite the bug I just described.

Just curious to know why tapping with 5 fingers instead of 4 fingers? I mean why these complications? Those who use smaller devices such as an iPod Touch or older iPhone models may find this gesture hard. What do you think?

By Clare Page on Friday, January 22, 2016 - 09:58

I agree, a five-finger tap isn't the easiest of gestures. I have room to do the five-finger tap on my iPhone 6, but it's true that it must be harder on smaller devices, and tapping with three or four fingers would be easier for everyone anyway. As I tend to hold my iphone in my right hand and operate it with my left, I use all four fingers plus the thumb of my left hand to do the five-finger tap gesture, but I'd also prefer to have to use less fingers, especially as the five-finger tap doesn't seem to do what it's supposed to, namely take us back to the main menu.

By Igna Triay on Friday, January 22, 2016 - 09:58

Yeah. Besides, all their other games used a three finger tap to go back. I think that it would have been better if they had left the three finger tap, instead of putting a more complicated gesture like the five finger tap.

By Khalfan Bin Dhaher on Friday, January 22, 2016 - 09:58

Agreed. One thing I don't like about those developers is that they don't reply to emails and they don't listen to users feedback and suggestions. They're aiming to sell more costly games rather than improving the previous ones. Unlike the developer of Blindfold Games where he listens to users feedback and share ideas with them and more. Don't you see how expensive are their games? I think 15$ is unaffordable for everyone.
I called this developer by phone several times, but he escapes and start giving excuses such as I'm in a meeting or so. It's clear that it's a lie. Honestly I'm not happy with this developer and his new games.

I came across a bug when playing this game on my iMac last night and am curious to know if the same bug is present in the IOS version. After completing the Colonel Destroyer grade, the game crashes and all you hear is continuous music. I haven't made it this far on the IOS version yet but I have emailed the developers. So far, I haven't received a response.

By Clare Page on Friday, January 22, 2016 - 09:58

After successfully completing a round of Space Encounter in Single Battle mode yesterday without ahving my ship destroyed, I'd like to point out that the five-finger gesture isn't completely broken. I tried it after I'd been told the results of my shooting spree, my points and so on, and it took me back to the menu as advertised. Definitely strange, though, that this gesture doesn't work properly if the ship gets destroyed! Here's hoping that, even though those of you who have written to the developers have got no replies, they will still either swap the five-finger gesture for a three-finger one, or at least get rid of the bug which prevents us from accessing the menu in the game without re-opening the app if the ship used in whatever battle or campaign we're doing gets destroyed.

By Mitchell on Friday, January 22, 2016 - 09:58

It only happens when your ship is destroyed for some reason.

After completing the Colonel Destroyer grade on the IOS version of this game, I notice that the same bug is present as in the Mac version: continuous music and nothing else. The only way I can enjoy playing this game now is in endless mode, which is better than nothing. However, I am disappointed about the lack of response from the developer when I reported this bug almost a year ago, regarding the Mac version, and that no attempt was made to correct this in all versions.
