Dreams, journal entries, and musings are written on-device by Apple Intelligence — nothing about your Pom ever leaves your phone. NO GUILT, EVER There is no death state. If life pulls you away, and you don't use the Day Care, the Pomeranian Rescue Network keeps your Pom safe until you return — same Pom, full health, happy to see you. STEP INTO THE BACKYARD A painted yard of your own, drifting from day to dusk, with a squirrel who becomes a friend. Housetrain them gently, at your pace, to a proud graduation bandana. A live heartbeat monitor shows their wellness at a glance — and if they catch a mild sniffle (you choose: Off, Rare, or Normal), the Pomerania Wellness Center treats them free, always. Nine tricks to teach — plus a hidden tenth — and eighteen combos to discover. 999 levels of Puff Pop and five more mini-games. Accessibility Comments

This adorable game is very accessible with VoiceOver, and the developer indicates that they care about accessibility. All of the items in the shop have descriptions, and there is always a blurb on screen about how your pom is feeling or what they are up to at the moment. The only issues I have found so far are with a few of the minigames.

VoiceOver Performance

VoiceOver reads most page elements.

Button Labeling

Most buttons are clearly labeled.

Usability

There are some minor accessibility issues with this app, but they are easy to deal with.

Other Comments

If you click on the status blurb, just before the care action buttons, the stats will open in a list that I find easier to read because they each show up as a different item, and don't have the decimals.

Sounds adorable indeed! Now, who remembers Hatchi? This is what it reminds me of, except with Hatchi your virtual pet could die if you don't look after them.

By Paige on Monday, August 3, 2026 - 13:54

I absolutely loved Hatchi, which is why I'm always trying to find more games like it.

How do you get coins? You only get like one coin per achievement and that’s not gonna get you hardly anywhere. And of course there’s the payment method, pay for a huge amount of coins but I think there should be a little bit better way to earn coins like when you take them on walks

By treky fan on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 - 04:34

I know you get coins by plahing games. What I don't know is if the games are unlimited as far was being able to play them and the coins keep showing up. You do have a limit as to how many times you can play each game, but the limit seems to reset te next ay. What I mean by unlimited is do the coins keep coming in even after you've played the game for a while, or do they stop at some point?

By Paige on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 - 12:29

I haven't quite figured out when you earn coins versus when you don't. I know you can get them for doing things like playing the minigames or having your pet do tricks, but only sometimes.

By Believer 316 on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 - 17:49

Does anyone know how to access episode two of the mystery? Is it just something that hasn’t been released yet or do I have to get my Pomeranian up to a certain level to do it?

This game manages to be really engaging. We've had a few good virtual pet games out there, but this one is very charming. I like the fluffpedia and the different facts you can unlock as you play. The only problem is the minigames. The dig for treasure one technically works but it's kind of clunky. Puffpop isn't accessible at all. The memory game is hard to play with screenreaders because the cards don't stay flipped long enough for voiceover doesn't announce the card. Treat catch is a little odd too. I'm not sure what I'm doing. The agility course needs an area direct touch area so voiceover can be on and yyou can perform the gestures. Everything else is working fine.

So far I've had pretty good luck with the hide and seek game, the dig for treasure game is a bit clunky but I can get it to work most of the time, the memory match is sort of doable but I hope they can fix VoiceOver not reading the second card that's flipped. With agility course and treat catch I can sometimes manage a few points by accident, but can't get anywhere with Puffpop.

Hi Everyone! I am the developer for Pomagotchi! I am so excited you all found my game and are enjoying it. This was my first app and it's been a great learning experience. One of my goals from the start was making accessibility a priority, so I am elated that the blind community is enjoying Pomagotchi.

Even though accessibility was a priority, it did not occur to me to include the mini games in that when I was building them out. Getting the feedback recently pointing this out was a lightbulb moment and I started thinking about how it could work. Getting the mini games to be accessible has been a really fun challenge and it's still in the works. From the research I have done, no other match three style game has successfully implemented VoiceOver. (Correct me if I am wrong and certainly share examples of apps and games that get it right I could refer to if you have any.) I am working on VoiceOver support for all the mini games including Puffpop. I cant wait to get my next update out there; Any feedback you all have if the updates are working is very appreciated!

I have a feedback form in the Settings menu. Sending a response through the form with diagnostics turned on really helps me see what the app was doing and how it's being used when issues come up.

Thank you all again and enjoy!

I am really excited to hear about accessibility improvements to the minigames! Thank you so much for taking the time to make this game accessible and enjoyable for VoiceOver users! As for match 3 games, we used to have more voiceover accessible ones, right now the only one I can think of is Pattern Play Story. Although it's technically a match 2 game, it has similar mechanics so could be helpful.

I really like the game and it’s really awesome, but I have one issue. It really overheats my device. I don’t know if it’s because of all the graphics if there are any graphics, I don’t know if it’s just because my device is older, but it runs the latest software. So, I don’t really know what’s going on. A lot of games have done this, my little friend does it, Package Hero sort of does it but it’s not as bad as it used to be, this one does it quite a bit. Even shoot to the stars did it. I can play them only for a short time before I have to let it cool off. I don’t get a warning but it does get warm, I can feel it. Anyhow, on a positive note I really like the game. I couldn’t really figure out how to play the mini games but I could care for my puppy and play with her and buy her things when I have the coins and all that good stuff. keep up the good work.

Hi,

Have you tried setting your screen brightness to 0, and maybe temporarily disabling the auto brightness in Accessibility settings?
Just thought this might help a little.

By Exodia on Friday, August 14, 2026 - 17:05

Screen brightness is at zero. And I think auto bright is the same. I’m running an iPhone 12 with the latest software. I’m gonna check the auto brightness right quick. That could be what’s causing it. But even when I go out of the app the screen Brightness still stays at zero. I just checked, auto bright is off. I’ve set my appearance to dark as well just now so hopefully that will help a little.

By Brian on Friday, August 14, 2026 - 21:39

Reduced motion may also help you, but of course there's no guarantee. I am on an older device myself, an iPhone SE 2022. So I feel your pain. 😅

By Exodia on Saturday, August 15, 2026 - 00:14

Sometimes I have to put it in front of a fan if I need to use the app for any extended length of time. That helps to keep it cooler. I know it’s silly but it’s the only way I know of because everything is set the way it should be. So anyway I do like the game it’s really cute and really sweet.

Thanks for coming and checking this place out. We congregate here and love when the devs of our favorite games show up. There are a few match type games, some may have slightly different mechanics like merging or other stuff, but the voiceover experience is similar so I'll mention them. Some of the baby adopter games have match three minigames that are technically accessible. They are doable, but you can't swipe between individual elements. You can only explore by touch. So I wouldn't say they are the best experience. Teacup merge is another one that has great voiceover support. It's a merge game, technically, but has match three mechanics as technically you can merge more than two cups at a time, and the voiceover experience is often similar with games like this. Super tile smash is another one. That game has a number of modes. I think it's still availlable, but I could be wrong. Pattern play story is another one. There are a few other puzzle games that demonstrate the kind of voiceover support we need. We need to be able to swipe between the different elements in the puzzle. We need to be able to explore by touch and find the elements if we want. We need to be able to match the pieces effectively. So it can be done I think. The one other minigame that can be fixed is the agility course. That needs a direct touch area somewhere so the aplication can handle the gestures instead of voiceover. I think that would fix that one, but I could be wrong. I love the mysteries, and the cozy atmosphere of your game. Keep up the great work.

@Exodia - if you think about it next time your device heats up, if you send me a message in the settings menu feedback form with the diagnostics on, it would really help me track that down. You can keep the message simple with just something like "device overheating".

@Leela - Thank you for the additional information! Agility Course is one I have been having trouble with figuring out this week, so the way you described this is extra helpful.

Accessibility work on all mini-games is still coming along. The only one I have not figured out at all is Treat Catch. However, I think Puffpop, the match three style game, has come a long way.

I still have some work to do and testing it the best I can. Apple is also taking a long time to approve updates at the moment; but after I get the next update sent in and it's approved I will announce it here. Honest feedback if I am heading in the right direction is so welcome!

Thanks all and have fun! -- Sean and the Poms

Hi there. After having to leave my little puppy alone for a while, resulting in her being sent to the rescue network, I just opened the app today. Like another poster, my device also gets warm when I'm using the app. Here are my settings, auto brightness set to off, phone never locks, screen curtain always on, brigtness set to zero. I'm running the latest version of iOS on an iPhone 15 pro.

By Sean@thomasraypublishing on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 - 01:14

thanks for the feedback. ill be investigating so your Pom can live long and prosper! 🖖

By Sean@thomasraypublishing on Monday, August 24, 2026 - 23:50

Hi All - The latest Pomagotchi update just got approved and is available. This one will have some new VoiceOver features with the mini games that I am hoping will make them more playable. Any feedback you have is very appreciated if these updates work better for you as it's still a work in progress. There is a direct link from the mini game hub screen to the feedback form now when VoiceOver is turned on.

By Leela on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 - 04:32

I like the new update. THe games work great.

By Paige on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 - 12:03

Loving the updated minigames so far, I think my favorite is Memory Match. I am having a bit of trouble getting the gestures in agility course to work consistently but I can still play it using the actions menu mode. I'm a bit confused about treat catch, I try to line myself up based on the tones but I almost always lose pretty quickly with few or no points.

By Tuesdale Daybreaker on Friday, August 28, 2026 - 09:35

The ffirst thing I want to say is thank you. This is a fantastic game. I LOVE the new updates and my favorite is the pop game. I have two questions though. The first, it says worlds 1 of 24 but I don't know what it means or how to find the rest. Also, what does the lightning do? I don't understand dhat.

By Sean@thomasraypublishing on Saturday, August 29, 2026 - 07:00

Making a game you all are enjoying makes me so happy, I appreciate the feedback, and keep it coming! This is a work in progress. It's been a great learning opportunity for me.

@Paige - I think there is an issue with the Treat Catch tones. I am investigating and working on some alternatives. More to follow!

@Tuesdale Puff Pop advances background scenes (worlds) as you advance levels. Lightning will clear an entire column out and replace the pieces with new ones.
