Accessibility Comments

Most of the buttons are clearly labeled. When you type in your message to progress your story, you have to flick right and you'll come to a button (it says right arrow for me), and that will send it. Other buttons like Continue, Retry, and Say (you double tap that to change to Do and Ask the Narrator), are labeled descriptively. There's a button labeled Scrim? and it will save your options when making your selections on your narrator and adventure title. The element indicating your number of gems is the one you select in your story to change settings like the adventure's narrator (AI engine). The tabs like Explore, My Adventures, and Settings are clearly labeled. If you want to edit your message, you do that by long-pressing your message and the edit/copy message options will come up. To delete your adventure from the list of adventures, you long-press while swiping left and are asked to confirm. When you are choosing an adventure, I noticed I couldn't scroll so had to flick to the one I wanted.

Usability

There are some minor accessibility issues with this app, but they are easy to deal with.

Other Comments

If you're into games like AI Dungeon, you'll probably feel at home with this app. It's a similar type of game. You'll get 100 gems daily and if you use the Scribble narrator, that will give you 20 turns for free. The gems refill daily. I don't know if you can stack gems as I'm very new to this app. There are various AI engines but they're given names like Scribbler, Orion, and Celestial, with descriptions of each but I don't know which LLM they are using. You can subscribe to one of their packages to receive higher quantities of gems daily, from 600-8,000 depending on your selection, if you're so inclined. Also, you'll need to go to the Settings section if you want to disable the safety filter for more mature themed adventures. As a free user, it seems that you're able to take part in a few of their pre-made adventures, create your own, or join another player's adventure. I haven't tried this, but you can play with up to seven other players. You can get your invitation code from a button I believe is labeled Compose.

Currently, there's no sound or music in this game. It's text and (presumably) images though I'm not sure how that works.

I'm thinking this is like the Choose Your Adventure games you can play on Alexa devices. It is basically interactive fiction, with text to speech. 🙂

So yeah this is basically another AI Dungeon. I guess it's good to have more options and this seems to be more accessible than AI Dungeon as well.

Just by listening to this description, it sounds to me like we're getting free gems to spend on better quality narration and so on, unlike in AI dungeon, where you have to be a subscriber.

Hi All,

So gems don't stack. It's a use it or lose it situation. Also, it seems that the use of gems is cumulative. The longer your story becomes, the more gems will be required as you progress, kind of like it costs more for chats with more messages when using an AI API where you pay per token. Also, it sounds like you gain rewards for logging in multiple days in a row. That was apparently added in the last update. I've been using Orion and will be seeing how the other narrators work. What I will say is that retries on Orion don't generally end up giving you responses that differ too much from the original. For instance, I opened a box. Someone (whether a stranger or my duplicate) came out and said something like, "Diana Melanie Collingsworth (my character name), we've been waiting for you." Haha, so I will experiment with other ones to find out the right gem to narrative ratio for me.

I long press or tripple tap on the adventure that I want to delete from the My Adventure section. It results in opening the adventure instead of giving me the option to Delete. A button can be found if swipe left from the first adventure, but pressing it does not seem to do anything. Am I missing something?

Hi There,

Okay, double tap and hold. However Don't hold too long or you'll get a haptic and open the adventure. While holding, swipe left and you'll pop up the delete screen. It will ask you if you're sure and allow you to confirm and delete at that point. Hope this helps.

I must be doing something very wrong. I press the arrow button and nothing happens. It just comes up on the list of things that have been said but the AI does not respond or anything. I have also tried pressing continue. What am I doing wrong?

Hi there. How would you go about creating your own adventures in this app?

So I tried using this app and I can't even figure out how to do the tutorial. I tried breaking the window and it didn't do anything. Any tips? Thanks
