Description of App

Ears Millionaire is a fully accessible trivia game inspired by the TV Game Show "Do you want to be a millionaire".

You start the game by picking one of the answers for each question. If you get it right, you win some cash, and move onto the next question. If you are wrong, you lose all the cash you've won so far, and go home broke. You must answer all 15 questions correctly to win one million dollars.

The game includes lifelines such as phoning a friend, asking the audience, or removing half of the wrong answers. You can walk away at any time and keep your winnings.

The game was suggested by blind gamers who enjoy Feud and Deal or Not.

Firstly, there is a bug that's making the game consistent, for each game starts with the same question. Also, the questions are always in the same order, making the game easy to master. Secondly, there is a bug that will get you thrown out of the app when attempting to use the audience lifeline. The audience lifeline only works when it is the only lifeline left. The final bug will allow you to call a friend an infinite amount of times. To produce the bug, you must do the following. When all your lifelines are used, swipe right. The game will tell you that you have used all your lifelines. Just ignore this and swipe right again. You will then be taken to the screen where you can call a friend again. I have already reported 2 of the bugs, but this last 1 I have discovered only now. Hope they get fixed soon.

It seems like asking the audience only works when there are less than 4 answers available. Therefore, you must try not to ask the audience when your question have less than four answers. You will be thrown out of the app when doing so. Asking the audience directly after using the 50-50 is also a bad idea and it will get you thrown out.

How often are the questions updated as the standard game always has new questions

By DMNagel on Monday, October 23, 2017 - 12:53

Unfortunately I have also discovered some new annoying bugs. It seems that in the flowers, movies and TV, geography and Christmas categories, there are multiple questions that does not have a right answer. I have also reported this. I cannot remember them all, but I hope that something can be done about it.

Hi! I installed Blindfold Millionaire on my iPhone 6 last night, and have found that I can hardly play it, except with a bit of very random guesswork. I immediately did the in-app purchase of the bundle which includes all the question categories, but, no matter which category I choose, I always have the same problems. The speech in the game reads the questions and the instructions, but when I swipe up and down, either to see possible answers to a question or to scroll through the lifelines, nothing is read. In spite of this, I have randomly double-tapped on an answer hoping it is right, at which point I'm told it is the wrong answer, then, if the answer is actually correct, I get told that: if I have got the answer wrong, the "wrong answer" notice is spoken twice. I don't know if anyone else is having these problems, but, if you are, or if there is any solution, other than waiting for a new version of the game, please let me know.

Today's latest update fixed most of the bugs, although a knew bug has poked out its head. The choices presented when selecting an answer or lifeline are no longer read by voice-over.

These should all be resovled as of version 1.1.3, due out in a few days

Version 1.1.2 had a bug where the answers weren't read. I introduced this bug to solve a crash, but tested it only the iphone emulator, not the iphone itself, and it fail in the emulator. I heard from a bunch of people about this problem, and just submitted the new version to apple. Should be out in a few days.

On a 5s with latest iOS, flicking up/down, no answers read. Tried everything from unistalling/reinstalling, removing the app from the app-switcher, but nothing! And worse of all, I’m out of coins!

Firstly send me an email in a few days once the new version is out, and I'll give you a coupon for more coins.
Secondly - this bug will be fixed with the new version in a few day. Read the prior comments from me on this thread

Now lifelines are not read by voice-over. They also don't work when you double tap on them.

Reading choices fixed; reading lifelines and people will be fixed in next release - day or two.

Just to let you know, when going to the list of packs, there doesn't seem to be a price tag for the TV and Movie pack. When I try and purchase it, I get an error.

Just thought you would like to know. Thanks!

Awesome, thanks Marty. I've already bought some of the packs, glad to finally get a Millionaire game.

Any considerations in making a "Game of Life" clone?

Thanks again and keep up the great work!

Hi,
Is there a way to purchase more coins for this game? The option to purchase more coins is not available under the Upgrade game options. Have a good day!
Thanks,
JoAnn
