I am a visually impaired iPhone 4S user. Having played a complete game of Cribbage Pro with help from my husband Karl, I have noticed several instances where the game does not work well with VoiceOver. First, VoiceOver announces the location of all your starting cards even after they have been discarded. For example, if you had a 7 of clubs, an ace of clubs, an 8 of diamonds, an 8 of hearts, a jack of spades and a king of hearts, then discard the 7 and the king, it would still read them as if they were still there. There needs to be an announcement that these dicarded cards were in fact discarded. Second, VoiceOver does not announce when it is each player's turn and announce any additional scoring. Third, total points in discard are not announced, so you have to guess at the total points and suits. This is important in deciding what card and suit to play. It also does not announce all the cards in the discard, skipping the ones underneath the top 1 or 2. Fourth, VoiceOver announces the spot for the image indicating the dealer even when that player is not the dealer. Fifth, there are several OK buttons at the end. Announcing what these buttons are for, such as the point score of your crib, will help you understand your score. Sixth, there should be an announcement of your and your opponent's scores after each round, and a declaration of the final scores, the winner, and winner's awards, if any. Further improvements to make this game more accessible will be greatly appreciated.

It is definitely true, there are access issues with Cribbage Pro. I contacted the developer, and we'll see what they say. I've played several games unassisted, a few of them multiplayer, and most of them single player. I think that as you play more, you'll find that you can touch various parts of the screen to find various elements. For example, once your oponent has played, if you touch a but up from the exact center of the screen, you should see the card spread of which cards are played. Keep swiping left and you'll hear what your count is. It's not easy, and I've suggested that VO hints be used to be attached to the play button to accomplish voiceover's telling what's been played and count, but until something gets implemented, learning screen locations via touch is very helpful. This will at least get you in the general location of where you may want to be and you can swipe quickly where you need to be. As far as cards not refreshing i.e. discards not disappearing and/or your whole hand not showing, you can turn VO of and on and you'll see all your cards properly. This isn't ideal and I reported that to the developer. I can use the app, and I can play games. I'm not saying it's as enjoyable as it could be, but I hope the developer listens to what I had to say and fixes some things. I think that some simple changes could be made (simple for teh developer that is) to make playabilit for the blind much easier.
The accessibility of this version is far beyond its precedessor. It is the only cribbage game to date that I have had any success with. it definitely does take some practice. The developer seems interested in improvement, so hopefully our feedback will be welcomed.

Hello. Please how much is the game? And could anyone tell me the rules how to play? Thanks in advance.

since updating to iOS7, voiceover is not reading out the cards as they are played. the multiplayer games are the same but that has been the case with them for a while. hopefully this will be fixed very soon as it is annoying to have to flick up to see what cards have been played by an opponent.
I am enjoying this app. It only took me a game or so to get the hang of the controls. I would certainly recommend it to VO users who enjoy Cribbage. I will add that I have only tried automatic scoring mode. I have not yet tried to self-score.

Hello All, A new update to this application was present in the app store this evening for me. The update specifically mentions voiceover improvements. At last, now I can enjoy the only game on my IOS device once again. Check it out! -Andrew-

Ok to all. I found a very good site that explains the rules of cribbage. I do not know how to put a link in a new window in mark down so here's the link. Just be forewarned it will be in the same browser.

Hello. I notice when I go to rate a player, I can't double tap on the text for example disconnects all the time or what ever it says. When I run my finger around the screen I hear a click then nothing where the stars should be. Can this be looked in to?

Also I made a mistake when telling you all my cribbage name, it's marrie not marrie125. Again so so sorry about this.

Take care to all and love the game.

I notice that in the online section there are 2 or more unlabeled buttons having to do with the chat and the user rating. . Also how do you read the chat if any in the chat section? If anyone wants to add me I'm marrie on there.

Take care. and be blessed to all.

Well, I contacted the dev regarding this and he got back to me with in about half an hour and said he would look in to incorpriagint the ties I suggested regarding the rating system and the online thing in to a next update. If all of you can contact him, maybe he can look in to really including it in to th next update. heha.

Take care.

the offline vertion of this app is lovely, a great way to play. however, the online game is horrible. About every two minutes it either disconnects me, or it boots me out of the game altogether. Are there any solutions to this problem? Great game otherwise, and very accessible!

Great app to play cribbage on the go. It's very accessible with Voiceover, though I wish it would announce the card the opponent just played. I often find myself having to swipe over to see if I could get a pair, run, etc.

I have been playing this game for several years. A recent update has changed the VoiceOver experience significantly.

The game now uses VoiceOver in Direct Touch mode and seems to support left/right swipes to go from object to object and up/down swipes to move from area to area.

As far as I can tell, you can no longer touch objects directly, such as a specific area of the screen for a card.

The game is still playable and announcements about cards played and such seem to be more reliable but interacting is very different.
