Blindfold Bowling

Category

Description of App

Blindfold Bowling is an fully accessible audio game that's similar to the ten pin bowling.

In Blindfold Bowling, you can play by yourself, against a variety of computer opponents, or side-by-side with another person.

You throw the bowling ball by either flicking with one finger, or aiming with one finger and flicking, or setting the exact angle with your thumb and forefinger, and then flick. The faster you flick, the faster you throw the ball.

You hear the ball rolling down the alley, and hitting pins. Like real bowling, you can get a strike, or a spare, or even miss completely with a gutter ball. And you can post your high scores to Facebook or Twitter.

Blindfold Bowling was suggested by several blind gamers who enjoyed Blindfold Pong and Blindfold Spades.

The game includes several in-app upgrades, including a starter pack for unlimited play, an ability to customize your ball and the pins to make the game harder, to let you pick and customize your competitors, and side-by-side mode.

Fully Voice-Over friendly.

VoiceOver Performance

VoiceOver reads all page elements.

Button Labeling

All buttons are clearly labeled.

Usability

The app is fully accessible with VoiceOver and is easy to navigate and use.

Other Comments

Good sound and challenging, especially with the highest aiming method. A game that has been long awaited by bowlers. While the game operation is easily understood, success is not easily achieved. I love it.

See my earlier comment. When you've watched about 6 videos and received about 2 coins, that's what happens until the next day.

I've had lots of requests to look at his games, including golf. I will.

The foul is not a bug. You can interrupt Voice-Over by rolling your ball or fouling.

I'm not sure if this is a bug or if it's suppose to be like this but my 5s running ios9.1 will lock right after a game so I have to unlock it to share my score or do anything else.

I just installed the bowling and I really love it. I watch the matches on TV when bowling was on 20 or 30 years ago. And our V-8 class used to go bowling that was in high school. And I've been a few times so I like this game very much. I really like that I can add a new competitors and choose their names it would be like playing against my friends :-) especially when they are out-of-state since I moved to Texas this year. Anyway, I have an idea for you. Have you considered a rail road simulation game? I bought the starter pack I didn't think it was that much for what you get.

I'm not sure what you mean by a railroad simulation. Can you describe it, and point me to a website.
Thanks

The current version has a problem where it says videos are not available sometimes, even if they are. A fixed version should be out in a few days.

By Vsevolod Popov on Monday, November 23, 2015 - 19:41

I know this but the problem is that i can't watch videos, there are no videos for a few days.

As long as you are checking into the video watching, could you check into setting the sensitivity of the aiming when using the one finger aim and throw method back to how was in the original release? I'm rolling balls into the right gutter ball from the spot number 2 that is left of center, even though I'm flicking straight forward. If it makes any difference, my 128 gig iPhone 6, using IOS 9.1 is laying flat on the table, so tilting should not be an issue. If something is screwy with my phone, any suggestions on what to check for are appreciated. Thanks.

The problems with the Videos seem to be on a lot of games. In blindfold break out, I have also encountered this issue. I have no coins, and I go to see if there are videos, however it says video ads, and nothing shows up.

Several of the games may be suffering from the same problem but I think it was already fixed by the time I submitted it to apple. There are 2 reasons for no videos. One is the bug, which will be fixed when I resubmit breakout. The second is that you've exceeded the number of videos per day, or based on you use of the videos, you haven't clicked on the ad at all, and the advertiser doesn't want to provide any more videos to you right now. The more you click on the video after it plays, the more the advertiser thinks their ads are working, and the more videos they will continue to show you. But, keep in mind, there's a daily limit.

It must be the bug in this case, because I already watched the daily limit, and the next day I checked, it still said no videos. I checked several days afterward, and the same result.

Why does not blind fold have a baseball game?

The main reason is that it hasn't been developed. One thing's for sure, though. You might not get an answer, or at least not very many, if you ask this question in response to an article on bowling. One has nothing to do with the other. Try asking it as a new topic in the forum to get better results.

Hi. I finally bit the bullet and downloaded this game yesterday. I had lots of fun, but following the instructions did not get me out of tthe game, and no matter which way I swiped in which direction, and whatever fingers I used, in desperation, I still couldn't get out of the game. I had to hit the home button and close the game. As a result, I lost most of my coins in one evening and I couldn't get back to the main menu, or check my scores. I don't know if something is broken or if there's another way to exit a game, only the game is giving old instructions. I think I'm going to have to delete it, which is a shame, because I had so much fun.
