Unless if I missed something, when I tried to do a prison riot, you just got the usual popup letting you know how many died, how many were injured, and in most cases I did it, you got additional years added to your sentence.

I tapped on sexuality and my character turned gay. Lol. I have to play and stop because its a busy time of the year but once I get some time I should spend a good few hours on it.

I hope that the developer responds to feedback, since I really love Alter Ego, and would surely enjoy this game as well.

I still have yet to finish my first game because I'm a bit particular about spending time with all my relations and making sure I don't neglect them. I have 4 daughters and 4 grandchildren. Unfortunately, Mom was stabbed to death in a mugging when she was 52 and Dad died from tuberculosis a year later at 76. I was able to join the Marines (a dream of mine), and I thought my high school sweetheart was the one, but after 20 years of marriage and renewing our vows, she cheated on me and the judge made me give her about 6/7 of my cash assets, most of which, I'd inherited from my parents. At least I got to keep my home, but boy was I unhappy, and when I finally dated again, the woman had to propose to me because I was gun-shy. Haha, I ended up honorably discharging myself from the Marines due to not advancing beyond Master Sergeant, went to college, studied computer science, and worked my way up to senior computer programmer. It has been, all in all, a relatively typical American life.

I haven't heard anything as of yet. Hopefully this hasn't been ignored and discarded.

So I found a way to read only the log from your current year/age, rather than having to listen to the entire log from birth onwards to get to your current age.

Instead of swiping, you need to roam around the screen with your finger. I found that the current year/age's log is sort of to the right middle. You'll hear a few "blank line", but if you slowly scroll your finger up you can find the "Age: X Years" and then scroll down from there without lifting your finger. If that makes sense.

For some reason if you use the swiping the entire log is read out, but if you use your finger to explore you can just read the current age's log.

I find this helps a lot, as one of my main gripes was not being able to remember what I had done that year to see if I had forgotten to interact with someone before hitting the "Age" button.

I also found that sometimes I get the "Possible Text" things on the unlabelled buttons, but I sometimes have to use my exploring finger instead of swiping for some reason. But for most of these I have kind of remembered/memorized the order (like for the Interact buttons with the parents).

What is everyone else's intelligence by the way? Mine is still only 16% and she is in high school. Do I just have a dumb attractive girl for this round? (I ave a girl with a 96% Attractiveness, 16% Intelligence.)

Looks like a new Bitlife update is out, I haven't had much chance to play with it yet, but it looks similar in terms of accessibility. Don't give up on this one, it's fun!

For some reason, I’m not able to find the update. The app store shows the latest update as December 11 which was over a week ago. Tried closing and re-opening the app store and the game as well as restarting my phone.

Yeah, I don't see the update either. I use the Canadian version of teh app store - perhaps it only got rolled out to a specific place first.

can someone make a podcast about this game?

I started over from scratch and I think there's something weird with the age gaps of the parents. My mom is 19 and my dad is 55. And when I tap on relationships and I am 1 year old I can't get to do anything with them. My only activity is to go to the doctor.

You can't do anything with your parents until you're 3. Then, you can have a conversation with them or spend time with them

I am a Canadian citizen and I am 13 years of age. For now the only activities I got to do were to go to the movies and mind and body and the doctor. So far life is great. Lol. I have no siblings. Not sure how to enable that or if that is randomized.

Cool. Then I am an only child. I got 2 guys arrested for under aged dating. I am 15 and the guy was 16. I was exposed to pornography at the age of 8.

Nice. I didn't get to go to university because my parents didn't want to pay for it and I wasn't finding any other options so I am a casher at a grocery store and I am not married but dating Max page and gave birth to twin girls. After Christmas will get to spend more time with the game unless if something happened to my character. Didn't get to check it in a few days.

So once the game updated to the newest version finally, I seemed toh ave to restart with a new life. But no big deal.

My new life is a girl from Spain who appears to be Jewish (she does Jewish customs when interacting with her parents, etc.) She also has an older brother. University for her was free since she is in Spain. She also had a much higher intelligence score than my first life - she strated with 75% intelligence, where as my last life started with liek a 15%.

Question:
- Is it just me, or do the interaction icons/buttons for interacting with siblings and/or spouses move around?
I can count on the order of the icons for the parents, but the order for the ones for siblings, etc., seems to change every time I open the modal.
It was frustrating because I kept bickering with my brother when I didn't want to (and he eventually assaulted me at age 3 and age 15, the latter one sending my happiness and health to 0%)
With the spouse/boyfriend, I kept trying to find the simple one to just interact with him but kept accidentally asking to have a baby with him and/or asking him to marry me. Eventually I just gave up and she just got pregnant by him on her own without my interacting with him directly. I'm kind of worried about what the options are for interacting with the son, now, and don't want to accidentally select something weird.

- Is there a way to force Voice Over to do the "possible text" output on the icon buttons?
I was getting this sporatically initially, but I can't seem to get this to work at all anymore even with dragging my finger over the buttons.
This is by far the most frustrating part of the game, as I want to be sure what choice I am making. (For example, I got a choice when my character found out she was pregnant and I wanted to keep the baby, but I had a shot in the dark as to whether that is what I was choosing. I had someone ask my character out on date in college and I must have hit the 'no' button by mistake, as nothing happened with that - I ad to do the dating app to get her a boyfriend once she ad money/job.)

Hey guys. I really love the look of this game, and I’d love to play it. However, what am I supposed to do as an infant? Am I just supposed to keep aging my person until I get to an age where I can do stuff, or are there things you can actually do as an infant? Any help is much appreciated. Ugh. The shot in the dark choices is really starting to annoy me.

I got to a good place with my Spanish character - she had 3 kids with her guy and was a Senior Computer Programmer. I had also managed to finally get engaged to the guy, too, and then just left the spouse interactions alone for fear of messing anything up. (The "break up" choice has an 'Are you sure?' choice, at least.)

Then the fiancee was all like "Why are we not married? It has been 7 years!" which was a pop-up 'shot in the dark' choice. I accidentally chose the wrong one which called off the engagement.

So then I fumbled with the interactions with the spouse to re-do the engagement, which worked after few tries.

Then the next year he was asking again about why aren't they married. I chose the opposite button I had chosen before, thinking they'd hopefully be in the same order. Nope! Called off the engagement again. Crap.

So I tried again to redo the engagement, but then I kept accidentally choosing the interaction/talk button insted. Or maybe it was the bickering button. I don't know.

But their relationship must have been affected by the multiple called off engagements, as every time I talked with him there'd be a pop-up about them having an argument about whatever topic they just talked about and how did I want to handle it?

Then she was arrested/put in a jail for a year for assault. Got fired from her job. No idea what is going to happen to her kids now that she is in jail.

Kind of stopped playing in disgust at that point, as she was doing really well - she had 100% in all of her stats and everything. She'd just bought a new car and a townhome. Oh how everything went downhill. lol.

I really do wish the developer will respond, as even if they just labelled the icon/image buttons this would be super playable. As it is, it's playable enough but the lack of being able to know wht choice you're choosing 90% of the time is frustrating.

So with the relationship stuff, most times a restart of VO will make it so it says “possible text” for the choices. But anyway, there are some interactions such as the citizenship and situation ones, where A. the choices move around, and B. there’s not always a “possible text” button no matter what I do. So anyway, there was this really awesome girl I had who got in the Navy in France, (girl power!) Anyway, somebody insulted her father and for the life of me, I couldn’t get the buttons to reveal themselves. So, I just picked one and it insulted the dude back. Ok fine, whatever. Well, he reacted by physically assaulting me and again, I couldn’t get the buttons to reveal themselves so I randomly selected one and lo and behold, I picked the “fight back” button and ended up going to prison. This in turn dishonorably discharged me from the Navy, AND I could barely find a suitable job, ‘cuz, guess what? I’m a fellon, nobody wants to hire me. They seriously need to fix these buttons though. Would make the game so much funner and easier. Has anyone tried using Twitter as a means of complaining? Seems like they’re pretty active on there. I’d do it but my Twitter account got hacked awhile back and I would have to fix it or create a new account and I just don’t have the patience to mess with Twitter right now.

Aha! Very helpful, thank you! This also works if you press the “new life” button and you get a baby you don’t want. Just close the app and reopen and then press the “new life” button again to get a new baby.

Wonder if that would work for driving tests as well. I had to do over my driving test twice then I got my license. And is there a way to sell a car that you bought to buy another one? I bought a used car and want to sell it.

Thanks for the tip on temporarily turning off VO and restarting it to trigger the 'Possible Text' things. I was able to do a quick triple tap to turn VO off and back on and the frustrating icons for interaction with a spouse/boyfriend got mostly revealed. (There always seems to be at least one that can't be read out, but since the icons move around between modals it is easy to have access to at least one of "Have a Conversation" or "Spend Time", which are safe options.)

I restarted with a new life - this time a woman from the Philippines who was sadly not as gifted mentally and physically as my last Spanish woman was. I think she started with like 15% intelligence and 10% looks. Her parents were both high school educated, so I am guessing that is why (Grocer and a School Administrator.)

I managed to push her to finish community college and then university, which got her intelligence bumped up to 50%. She is a Senior Environmental Scientist. I got her some liposuction to try to fix her dismal attractiveness and got her up to 34%. She married a high school educated Trucker, though. lol. She has 4 kids and they are pretty well off thanks mostly to her salary.

Haven't finished her life yet - I got her to age 40 before I had to take a break.

I'm not sure if I've had bad luck but this woman's sibling is also a PITA - I just assumed it was because the sister was stuck being a dead end job as a grocery store cashier wherreas my character finished university and has a better job? They fight all the time. Haha. I guess the sister is jealous.

This is a lot more fun now that I can be sure I am not going to get my character thrown into jail unless I want to.

At one point, I had a life where the father was unknown and the mother died when the character was four and already had a younger sibling. So then there was nobody to “take care” of this character so she and her sibling were virtually by themselves. It would be more “true to life” if they were placed with foster parents or a relative took them in. This way there would be parents to interact with and get money from and such. And do you ever notice how some of the interactions just get kind of ridiculous? Like, who goes bungee jumping in their nineties? Or, who takes their younger sibling snowboarding as a four-year-old? Lol! Good old randomizers...

Has anyone won the lottery so far? I keep buying that ticket and could never win the jackpot. I have 99 percent health and went to the doctor and I wasn't ill. Don't know if that's a bug. And what about using the car. I see no option for the car even though I have my license for 5 years. I tried to go horse racing to bet on a horse it for the life of me I can't get to pick a horse to bet on so I left it. My final question is is there a way to go to school or do training to get a better job? And to the previous posters before me, some of the things are laughable. Like I took my 3 year old daughter to a food festival. Like why would a 3 year old want to even go there. The only thing I saw for a relationship with my boyfriend was to spend time with him, talk to him either try to have a baby with him or break up with him and propose marriage . I asked him 3 times and the 3rd time he finally accepted. Lol normal mundane life. And the only crime is murder wished there were others like shop lifting or selling drugs.
