Question
Interesting app. Does this offer Apple Music/iTunes integration? I mean can it display the currently playing track in Apple Music? I'm also looking at Triode which is quite feature-rich and accessible, but it doesn't offer recording.
I don't think so
I don't use apple music, but I don't think it offers that integration.
Re: I don't think so
Thanks. Triode offers this, plus the ability to add station names to Siri which is quite useful.
adding stations
since of the database it comes with the app is fairly small, it's a real good feature to be able to add your own stations. I have mixed success with adding stations from inside apps. Basically, it was more difficult than it was worth. However, going to the webpage and finding the play button, worked well using safari or any other of your favorite browsers. I had tried adding it from a file, and .m3u format etc. worked. I wonder if it will except zip files. I was unable to test that feature.
Don't know about zip files
Hi,
I don't know if it will accept .zip files as stream URL'S. There's only one way to find out, try it, you can't hurt it, that's my motto when teaching people, and trying things. :) If I had a .zip file of such M3U'S, I'd try it myself and report back, but I don't. I admit, a long time ago, I cheated, I added a bunch of favorites to my victor reader stream internet radio favorites list (since they use attunes, and I can get the direct URL), and I exported that list into I think it was a pls file. I then played this file on my Mac in VLC, cleaned it up a bit (it had duplicates of almost every station, boy, that was tedious, I'd rather not have to do that again). Then I exported it to an m3u playlist, and added it as a user station in v-Radio. Mind you, back when I did this, v-Radio was on android, but I assume the same steps would be relevant on iOS.
station from a webpage
Hi, When you say you've had success in adding stations from webpages, do you mean something like WCBS or WINS? Or any of the CBS big-name stations? They really seem to be tricky in finding the URLS. I don't much care for these embedded web players some of these stations use now-adays, just give me a URL or better yet, an m3u, so I can listen in the player of my choice, for crying out loud. :)
those webpages that use theβ¦
those webpages that use the pop-up players I haven't got to work. What does work, if you press the play button, it actually comes up with the iOS player. Those work.
