Accessibility Comments

Everything is very easy to navigate and use. The app uses standard controls and dialogs and switches so everything is very smooth. The app does not have any router actions though. Some well placed router actions could make this my app of choice. The app does require a bit more swipes than most apps, such as when navigating episode lists, but overall, this app is very nicely constructed.

VoiceOver Performance

VoiceOver reads all page elements.

Button Labeling

All buttons are clearly labeled.

Usability

The app is fully accessible with VoiceOver and is easy to navigate and use.

Other Comments

The app itself is very logical and handles very well!

Yes, I think it is, partly because it has absolutely no ads, and supports many podcast 2.0 features other podcast apps don't, like transcripts directly in the app and donation links.

I've not used the app in a long time but as far as I know; you just choose your podcast and go, there might be adds in the podcast its self but that's it.

Convince me. What makes this any better than the stock Apple Podcasts app? Don't get me wrong. I love Overcast, Downcast, and all those other shenanigans out there, but seriously, don't knock the Apple Podcasts app. Are there features you get with this that you don't with Apple Podcasts, as I've found the stock app that comes with iOS to be quite clean of ads, and very usable. What's more, you mention about the rotor not being possible in this app. Well guess what. It is in Apple Podcasts. I found a sleep timer in there which the description here talks about, I've been able to adjust variable speed, and even can navigate not just chapter by chapter, but even can select the chapters to hear, then when I play the episode back, it'll skip right over the chapters I don't want to hear, making listening to the episode be customized just to the things I want. Frankly, it's awesome!

The thing for me with the podcasts app is you can't transfer your podcasts from overcast or the other way around.

Also with overcast it has a volume boost thing.
