Accessibility Comments

Easier than some fee-based platforms. After you log in your courses immediately appear. Once you select a course, you can easily locate a particular section, video or quiz.

VoiceOver Performance

VoiceOver reads most page elements.

Button Labeling

Most buttons are clearly labeled.

Usability

There are some minor accessibility issues with this app, but they are easy to deal with.

Other Comments

Coursera is a MOOC, a Massively open online course platform. All courses are free; you pay only if you want credit. You have to sign up for your courses on their site, but after that, you can see them and work through their content through the app. I find Coursera far more accessible than Moodle, Blackboard or Canvas, the other LMS e-learning systems I've tried -- and it's free.
One word of warning: it won't work on anything below iOS7. My iPOD can't download it and the app was developed after iOS7 came out so no earlier versions exist.

I use this app too. It has a wonderful section for professional development for teachers.

Hi,
I took a brief look at this app yesterday, and it looks like you can press a Sign Up button, once you double-tap the name of a course. I was undecided about what to sign up for, so I didn't activate the Sign Up button, but it was there.

Well, considering I saw that one of the schools I want to go to is on there and not itunes you or how ever you spell it, if you can get credit, maybe I can start my new degree I'm working on through there and get it in about the same time, or at least take less classes this way. I might give this a try.
